Since the year 1000, vineyards have adorned the hills of Cocconato, a testament to the exceptional terroir of our region. The mild climate, moderate temperatures, and sunlight exposure akin to coastal slopes have earned this area, situated at 491 meters above sea level, the name “Riviera del Monferrato.” Over the centuries, this tradition has fostered a lifestyle centered around quality, good food, and fine wine. Our wines, once recognized by the royal house and gifted as tokens of commendation, have been a source of pride for Cocconato’s hoteliers, who, drawing from their experiences in nearby France, have become pioneers and ambassadors of our country’s innovative traditions.

Today, the consortium’s member companies, spanning 100 hectares of vineyards, uphold this legacy through the cultivation of traditional grape varieties like the historic Bonarda. By embracing organic and biodynamic practices and offering agritourism experiences, they embody the heritage passed down over a millennium. This enduring commitment reflects the unique identity ingrained in the DNA of Cocconato’s producers, ready to be shared with the world.
