I am Federico. I was born and raised in Monferrato. With love and passion, I cultivate my vineyards and produce the wines of our land: Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa, and Nebbiolo. In addition to the classic grape varieties of our area, I also grow white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Arneis.

the goal is to highlight the potential of our territory. The altitude and composition of our white soils give our wines great structure, elegance, and longevity.

Aging

for the superior wines is important but never predominant; the grape variety must always express itself in the glass.

Barbera
the protagonist

 

of our territory, is undoubtedly Barbera d’Asti, of which I produce two versions: one fresher and more immediate, the other more concentrated and full-bodied, which, after aging in wood, is labeled as “Superiore.”

Albugnano
superior

 

Nebbiolo has always been present in Monferrato, and on the high hills around Albugnano, it has found a perfect habitat to express itself at its best.

Grignolino
dedicated to my grandfather,

 

holds a special place in my production. Although we are outside the historic DOC area, it was my grandfather Bertin’s wine, which he planted in the early 1970s. It is an exceptional wine with a beautiful bright ruby color, very fragrant, and suitable for the entire meal.

I consider myself
first and foremost, a winemaker

 

I dedicate most of my time to the vineyard, and my greatest satisfaction is obtaining beautiful and healthy grapes, the only starting point for producing wines of the highest quality.
