The medieval
palace

took its current form in the 1700s. The first confirmed record dates back to 1775, when it was owned by Mr. Giò Tommaso Sacco, who left it in inheritance to his sister, wife of Mr. Giovanni Marchisio. The Marchisio family, since the 1200s, held the lordship of Caselle, Borgaro, and other nearby towns. The penultimate owner, a descendant of the Marchisio family, Ida Martelletti, gave the building its current name.
