The history
of Rosengana
The Cascina, dating back to the 1600s, was believed to be the site of an old monastery; in fact, just ahead, toward the town of Cocconato, lies the Pieve di Rosingana. It later became a farm for peasants and was abandoned at the beginning of the 1800s. Throughout the 1800s and 1900s, the Cascina changed hands several times until 1999 when the Macchia – Vigna family bought the property and began renovations, transforming it into the current agriturismo. In 2006, the reins were passed to their children Alessio and Matteo, who continue their parents’ dream.
